Wash the pork belly and dry with paper towels. Cut the meat into smaller pieces approximately 2-inch x 2-inch. Add salt, pepper, and cumin to the meat.
Cut onion, garlic, and spread them on the bottom of a baking dish.
Spread the pork belly pieces on the onion layer and add a little bit of water to the baking dish. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake the meat at 370 F degrees for 2 hours. Take a look several times during this baking period and add water if needed. After 2 hours, uncover the baking dish and bake for additional 20 minutes or until the meat gets s nice golden color.
You can serve the baked pork belly with a side of spinach and potato dumplings.
